Fort Casey Running Camp

Set on Whidbey Island near Coupeville, Washington, Fort Casey Running Camp is a high school cross country experience limited to 60 athletes. Train with an expert coaching staff, run scenic forest and waterfront trails, and take part in a special midweek trip to Port Townsend. Come build fitness, friendships, and confidence for the season ahead.

We offer the Commuter-Day Camper for $575, early bird ends June 1st $475
Geared for young athletes who want to deepen their skills, embrace healthy competition, and build lasting connections. Campers engage in advanced running clinics, mentor-led workshops, and fun activities for all abilities.
Includes: Cabin lodging, all meals/snacks, daily multi-sport sessions, evening campfires, and full supervision.

Some things to expect at camp
Camp Life
You'll wake up no later than 7:00 am and out the door for your morning run at 7:15am
The scenery may be different every day as the coaches switch up the trails.
There are hills.
You may see some deer and other wildlife. Humpback Whales and Transient Orcas can be sited from shore in July.
If you're up for it there is an afternoon run.
Wondering about the food. Tasty and amazing!
Trip to Port Townsend
Expect some fun on the ferry and the trip over and back.
Bring some $ in case you want to buy something. There are shops and you may want to buy something to remember the experience.
There will be a sand castle competition. Get some ideas going.
Learn
Be prepared to take notes.
There will be experts on nutrition, goal setting, race tactics, journaling, etc.
Warming up before a race. Gear for cross country. Best shoes for every course.

Located on Whidbey Island Fort Casey was military post and is now operated by the YMCA.
It's near Coupeville, in Washington State.

Bunk beds and four to a room. Cabins have electricity, bunk beds, and storage areas. Campers stay in age-appropriate cabins based on grades and gender and are under the supervision of our adult camp counselors. Learn more about Fort Casey at the YMCA site.
