The Butterflies Hack Every Runner Needs to Know

At the Mt. Hood Camp Coach “Bob” talks about overcoming butterflies that runners feel at the starting line and how to make them work for you in your race.

During meals at the Mt. Hood Camp we watch race videos from the Olympics or races that campers or our coaches have run. Then, we’ll jump right into a coach talk or maybe an elite athlete will drop by or face time with us. On this video Coach Bob Williams talks about those butterflies we feel before a race and at the starting line. Some people call them pre-race jitters. He offers some advice and tips on how to leverage those jitters to work for you during a race for better performance.
