First high school girl to break 10 minutes for the 2 mile in 9:55.

Twice she won the Kinney XC National Championships
(Kinney is what Foot Locker Nationals used to be called)

Still holds the Foot Locker course record at Balboa Park.

8 time Colorado State Champion while at Boulder High School.

3 Time All-American and an NCAA 3k Champ Indoors in 9:07

3rd at the World XC Championships in 1991

Melody is looking forward to sharing some of her experiences and give the campers a perspective on their own running journey, dreams, and the big picture for them. We're fortunate to have her at our camp.




Drew ran for two years at Wilsonville High School where he helped his team win a XC title in 2005.

Drew attended Western State College in Colorado where he ran on both the cross country and track and field team.

His fondest running memory is watching his former teammates win the 2011 D2 XC National Championship after having finished 2nd the past four years.

He is currently the distance coach at Clackamas Community College.

Jordan Schillit

Author of "In the Long Run" Jordan has been running since elementary school and graduated from high school in Florida as one of the top distance runners in the U.S. He was part of Haverford’s USTFCCCA Scholar Team of the Year and holds track PRs ranked in the top-5 All-Time in Division III, including his school record at 5,000m (13:59.21). Jordan is USATF Level 1 Certified Coach.

In 2013 he graduated from Haverford College in Pennsylvania, where he was a 6-time NCAA Division III All-American in cross country and track.

He led his cross country team to its first NCAA national championship in school history (2010), and two runner-up finishes (2011, 2012). He now lives in Eugene, Or and is part of the Oregon Track Club and coaches a local high school team.
